Jamie, that happened to me, the rain was so brutal that although we put our gutter in and reinforced it, the water literally bent the gutter to the point where it was useless to us. We got stronger gutters installed using a copper alloy, and so far it's held up... I hope yours didn't cost you a fortune to fix like ours did!

I recently bought a new home and it doesnt have gutters.I wasnt planning on buying any but now I will be. i want to make sure i do everything possible to keep my investment in good shape. Thanks for the info.

I just learned about why it's so important to have rain gutters! To be honest I always knew they needed to be cleaned (for some reason) and I knew it was important to have on the home but I never realized that the rain gutters main purpose was to protect the foundation from rain pounding (falling off the roof)... Brilliant article here, I can't wait to see the rest of the site!

I live in Nashville Tennesse and we've had a lot of rain this spring. My gutters were not able to handle it and collapsed after 3 days of downpours, sowe have been shopping for new guuters.
